Liza van Deijl

Liza is a candidate attorney at the TRM Cape Town office. She holds a BCom Law and LLB from Stellenbosch University and is currently completing her MCom in International Tax at the University of Cape Town.

Her interest in tax law started during her BCom Law studies, where she was drawn to the way tax brings together law, commerce and numbers. This interest continued throughout her LLB and ultimately led her to pursue postgraduate studies in international tax.

Liza enjoys the technical and practical nature of tax law, especially where legal interpretation, commercial realities and problem-solving overlap. She has a particular interest in international tax, corporate tax and tax dispute resolution.

Outside of work, Liza enjoys dance and creative writing.
