Chris Stroud

Christopher graduated cum laude from Rhodes University in 2019 and joined TRM in 2020.

He has developed a specialised tax practice spanning corporate restructurings, financial instruments, cross-border structuring, crypto-asset taxation and voluntary disclosure applications, together with an active litigation practice in tax disputes before the High Court of South Africa and the Tax Court.

He has also contributed to South African tax scholarship, including as co-author, with Dr Daniel Erasmus and Schalk Pieterse, of the chapter “Evaluating the South African General Anti-Avoidance Rule” in General Anti-Avoidance Rules (Thomson Reuters).
